The personal data that we collect consist of personal information provided to us by the people concerned.

– Address of the atelier and/or exhibition venue
– Other data provided to us by people themselves. This particularly concerns information to be presented on our website’s information page about participating artists, as well as the additional information submitted by participants when registering with us, such as related to their acceptance, which we use for assessing professionality, training and experience.

For each data category, the application form states the purpose and intended use of those particular data.

Unusual and/or privacy-sensitive personal data:
Stichting Noorder IJ Kunst does not intend to process any unusual or privacy-sensitive data.

Why we collect/process personal data:
We use personal data in the organisation of Open Ateliers Amsterdam-Noord for:

  • communication with the artist of Amsterdam-Noord about Open Ateliers Amsterdam-Noord;
  • emailing new information or information about changes to the organisation of Open Ateliers Amsterdam -Noord;
  • processing payment related to people’s participation in Open Ateliers Amsterdam-Noord.

Storage period:
Stichting Noorder IJ Kunst stores personal data in order to contact artists in Amsterdam-Noord with information about Open Ateliers Amsterdam-Noord, both currently and in the future.

Storage periods:

Name and email address: unlimited
Reason: We use this information to inform artists about the start of new editions of Open Ateliers Amsterdam-Noord.

Other data: 1 year or less
Reason: The information page about participating artists remains accessible until the webpage is updated to show only the participants in the next edition of Open Ateliers Amsterdam-Noord.

Sharing data with third parties:
Stichting Noorder IJ Kunst shares personal data with third parties only for the purpose of organising the website [openateliersnoord.nl] and for creating the promotional brochure. It does not allow these data to be used by those parties for any other purposes.

Cookies or comparable techniques:
Stichting Noorder IJ Kunst only uses technical and functional cookies and analytical cookies that will not invade your privacy. A cookie is a small text file sent to and subsequently stored on your computer, tablet or smartphone during your first visit to our website. The cookies that we use are needed for the technical functioning of our website as well as to increase user-friendliness.

You may request perusal, rectification, deletion or transference of your personal data, withdraw your provided permission, or object to the processing of your personal data by sending an email to info@openateliersnoord.nl.

In order for us to verify that this request is indeed made by you, we ask that you include a copy of your ID. However, to ensure and protect your privacy, please first redact your photograph, the information in the MRZ (machine-readable zone, at the bottom of your passport), your passport number and Citizen Service Number (BSN).

We will respond to your email as soon as possible, but no later than in four weeks.

Stichting Noorder IJ Kunst takes protecting your data seriously and has implemented the necessary measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorised access and unauthorised rectification.
